Bisbee, Arizona

This past Friday Matt and I picked up Matt's mom Sarah, who flew in from Georgia to spend a week with us. We went on an adventure to Bisbee, an eclectic town south of Tucson, just a skip away from Mexico. Bisbee was a booming town of 20,000 back in 1910 with the Copper Queen Mine boosting all of the town's economy. Now it's a quaint weekend destination with a nice climate (it's sits at 4,780 ft) and great Antique shopping. There was a Bisbee local who had three animals trained to co-exhist together: a dog, a cat and a rat-- you have to see it to believe it. We ate at a great restaurant called Café Roka (with the woman singing in the window) and we stayed at an RV park called the Shady Dell, in the Spartan Mansion trailor. Shady Dell has restored vintage trailers from the 1950's. As you can see from the images, the trailers are outfitted with the original stoves, tv's and record players. Some are buses, some are yachts and all are distinct. We ate breakfast at Dot's Diner, a 1957 Valentine Diner, which is also on the property. I had the Bisbeeberry pie (to go) and it was delicious. I recommend this destination to anyone coming to Arizona
